IMG 1100GREENVILLE, KY., — George Thomas Phillips, 82, of Greenville passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.

He was born September 10, 1935 in Greenville to the late Robert Lincoln Phillips and the late Margaret Bard Phillips.

Mr. Phillips worked at the Ken Surface Mines in Rockport, KY for Approx. 29 years.

He loved spending his past time having conversations at the IGA.

He  leaves behind to cherish his memories, a loving wife Margaret Lester Phillips, Greenville, 3 sons Clifford ( LaGertha) Phillips, Columbus, Ohio, James Phillips and Keith Phillips both of Greenville, 2 daughters Tracey ( Johnny) Owens of Greenville, and Patricia Hawkins of Greenville, 10 grandchildren, 1 brother Robert ( Helen) Phillips, Sr., Greenville, 1 sister Mary Ann ( James)  Bell, Russellville, KY several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Services are Wednesday at 1pm April 18, 2018 at The Pentecostal Church of God In Christ, in Greenville.

Visitation 11am – 1pm at the church on Wednesday. Burial in West End Cemetery, Greenville.  Elder Archie Grimmett, Eulogist.

He was born in Greenville, KY on February 13, 1957 and was employed by Allied Eagle Spartan Chemical Company in Detroit, Michigan. Anthony enlisted and served terms in both Army & Navy Branches of Service.

He is preceded in death by his father Bobby McCoy, 2 brothers Douglas McCoy and Michael Van Drake.

Funeral Services are 12noon Monday, February 26, 2018 at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Greenville, KY.

IMG 1202vet ffffffOWENSBORO, KY., — Billy Gene Milan, 75, of Owensboro passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Signature Hillcrest Nursing Home after a short illness.

He was born in Owensboro on June 12,1942 to the late Marrine Coleman Shaw and the late Othello Millom. He attended Western High School, professed his faith at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. Sergeant Billy Gene Milan served in the U.S. Army being stationed at Fort Bragg N.C. with the 101st Airborne Division and made over 300 parachute jumps while serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 696 and AMVETS. This Vietnam Vet completed 3 tours. Billy loved going to the VFW Post 696 every day and talking about war times. He loved fishing and collecting junk. Billy was a loving and kind person who would do anything in the world for you, if you were in need.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Othello Millom, Sr. and Marrine Coleman Shaw and a sister Carolyn Cooper Barnes.

He  leaves behind to cherish his memories, 3 brothers Othello Millan, Jr. and  Stephen Millan both of Owensboro, KY and Anthony (Karen) Millom, Lawndale, California, 3 sisters Louella Lee and Deborah (J.T.) Street both of Owensboro, KY and Rose Marie Casterman, Evansville, IN., 3 aunts Margaret Coleman and Birdie Coleman both of Owensboro, KY and Jean Coleman, Louisville, KY, Durham North Carolina Family, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Services are 12noon Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Owensboro, KY.

Visitation 10am – 12noon at the church on Saturday. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Owensboro, KY.  Rev. Larry D. Lewis, Officiating.

She previously attended Central Christian Church in Henderson, Nevada and she was a devout homemaker.

Survivors include 1 son Kenny Ward LasVagas, Nevada, 4 daughters Pat Rodich and Pam McCutcheon both from Las Vagas, Paula (Bill) Hardesty, Maceo, KY and Donna (Brian) Wood, Monroe, Utah, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 brother David (Ann) Knotts, Arizona, 1 sister Donna (Ed) Landis, Indiana, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Loved ones preceding her in death is her parents Lena and Henry Shultz, and 1 son Johnny Owens, Sr.

Survivors include her daughter Mary Ann Webb of Central City, son Charles (Shirley) Owens of Central City, 6 grandchildren, a host of great and great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside Services are Thursday, 12noon January 25, 2018 at West End Cemetery in Greenville, KY. with Rev. Otis L. Cunningham Sr., Officiating.
