IMG 3320GREENVILLE, KY., —  David Earl Harbin, 60, born, January 14, 1957 in Greenville, KY passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Saint Mary Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY. While surrounded by his family on November 21, 2017 David took his last breath on earth and took his first breath of eternity with his Lord and Savior.

He was a member of the Wesley Chapel A.ME. Zion Church, Greenville and is presently a member of The New Testament Christian Church, Louisville, KY. He was previously employed at Super Value in Greenville, UPS in Louisville, a miner for Peabody Coal Company and a beloved cook at Shady Cliff in Lake Malone. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1976, where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He was also known by friends as ‘Bear’ and ‘Boo’. In addition, he was an avid sports fan, loved the Cincinnati Reds, and adored the University of Kentucky Basketball Team.

Survivors include 2 sons Jordan (Chelsea) Harbin, and James Harbin both of Greenville, 2 sisters Iva Goins of Greenville and Cynthia Harbin, Louisville, KY, 1 brother Jerome (Shelia) Harbin, Nashville, TN, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Memorial Services are Monday 1pm on November 27, 2017 at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Greenville, KY. Guest Speaker, Eulogist. Rev. Bativi Combs, Officiating.

Mary DulinDRAKESBORO, KY., — Mary ‘Maggie’ Dulin, 93, born June 23, 1924 in Powderly, KY, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Diversicare of Greenville in Greenville, KY.

She was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Drakesboro, served on the Mother’s Board, worked in the Culinary Department, taught Sunday School which culminated with the room being named in her honor, and was the oldest member of the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Dulin, parents Chester Gadson, Florence Bard Gadson, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.   

Survivors include 1 brother Nathaniel (Paulette) Gadson, Greenville, 3 sisters Marvine (Clifford) Clark, Central City, KY, Hilda (Owen) Shultz, Drakesboro, and Earletta Robinson, Drakesboro, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Special recognition is extended to her Caregivers.

Services are Saturday, 12noon, November 18, 2017, at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Drakesboro, KY.

Visitation 10am – 12noon at the church on Saturday. Burial in West End Cemetery, Greenville, KY.  Rev. Ricky T. Hill, Eulogist.

IMG 1075001002CORYDON, KY., — William Glen Compton age 72 born March 5, 1945 in Corydon, KY passed away on October 11, 2017 while at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. William was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He retired from Columbia Nursing Home after 36 years of employment where he was truly loved by his co-workers and the residents. Glen (as he was known) wouldn’t sit still, he loved meeting people, none of which he treated like a stranger he was always nice to everyone. He would go to the race track to make bets then come home and watch the races. Never a big man, but he loved to eat. You could often find him just sitting on the front porch. Glen will be missed by all who knew him.

Glen is preceded in death by his mother Addie Harris and step-father Nathanial Harris, father James C. Compton, son Adam Blair and brothers Everett Eugene and James T. Compton.

Glen is survived by his wife of 30 years Clarice A. Compton, children Antonio Enrico Glenn, Cameron Blake and Angela Denise Compton, stepchildren Antonio and Anitra Patterson, brothers Charles E. Edward, George, Jackie, Johnny Compton and Ricky Harris, sisters Carolyn Bolden, Martha Foster, Eunice Rhodes, Doris Taylor and Moa Lisa Harris, grandchildren Kalabra Tramill, Christian Howard, Naiyonna Compton, Camri Compton, Kaleb Compton, Milton Wayne Thomas, Faith Clarice Thomas and Ja’Shaun Mitchell, 4 great grandsons, sister in laws Jessie Compton, Barbara Dean, Mary Brown, Earline Harris, Darlene Harris, brother in law Joe Harris and a host of other extended family and friends.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, 12noon at Memorial Baptist Church in Evansville, IN. Pastor Adrian M. Brooks Sr, Officiated.

Funeral services were conducted by Osborne Funeral Home of Evansville, IN. Burial services were conducted by Bibbs Funeral Home of Greenville, KY at United Brothers of Friendship Cemetery in Corydon, KY.

IMG 1062CORYDON, KY., — Robert Louis Dixon, age 87 of Corydon passed away at 11am Monday, October 2, 2017 at his home. Robert was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Corydon, Ky. He was employed at George S Carrington Company for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Dixon and Florence McClure-Dixon Armstead of Corydon, 13 siblings and 1 great-great grandson Devin Day.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years Pauline Smith-Dixon of Corydon, 10 children Terry Calbert (Helga) of Tacoma, WA, Donald Calbert (Noizetta) of Clarksville, TN, Beverly Chambers (Robert), Marqueta Wade, Mary Pruitt (Charles), Steve Dixon (Julie), Pamela Carter, Angela Robertson of Henderson, KY, Bobby Dixon, Rodney Dixon (Loretta) of Corydon, 14 Grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, 1pm at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Corydon, KY. Burial was in UBF Cemetery in Corydon. Elder Sammy Brooks, Pastor. Elder Jimmy Everhart, Eulogist.
