IMG 2591-bibbsfuneralhomeNettie Mae Johnson, 86, of Central City, KY, died Monday, November 30, 2015, 2:40 P.M. at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville, Kentucky.

She was born July 2, 1929 in Drakesboro, KY to William Dickerson and Athrell McGill Dickerson who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Dewey David Johnson; and one son, Barton Craig Johnson.

She was a faithful and loving member of Power House Church of God in Christ, Greenville, KY, serving in the following capacities; Church Mother, Supt. of Sunday School, Sunday School Teacher, Organist, State Y.P.W.W. Chair Lady, President of the Nurses Guild and President of the  local Sunshine Band. She worked at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital as a LPN, and also as an Inhalation Therapist at the Black Lung Clinic.

Survivors include; one son, Elder David W.(Mary H.) Johnson, Sturgis, KY; three daughters, Mechele D.( Michael) Hawkins, and Davita L. (Elder Hubert) Robinson, both of Owensboro, KY, Corretta F. (Rev. Monty) Head, Central City, KY; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one brother, William E. (Sandra) Dickerson, Danville, IL, four sisters; Eunice J. Osborne, Willena Smith, Montrell ( Lloyd) Smith, and Carolyn Thorton, all of Terre Haute, IN; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at Power House Church of God In Christ, in Greenville, KY. Visitation 9-11 at the church on Friday.
